NEW ANTARES 21, 23 and 27
THE NEW WAY OF COASTAL CRUISING
ANNAPOLIS, MARYLAND, AUGUST 8th 2018
For the first time in the US, Beneteau is bringing its historic range: Antares. The Antares 21, 23 and 27 outboards are the new generation of coastal cruising boats. These units represent a statement of Beneteau's expertise in space management and safety on the water. The result is a striking re-affirmation of the values of this historic and globally renowned range.
Designed entirely by the Beneteau design team, boasting improved practicality and an ever-higher level of detail, the Antares 21, 23 and 27 certify the brand’s specialized expertise in the pocket cruise market, ingeniously combining tradition and innovation. As leisure craft 'par excellence', they provide a superb introduction to coastal/lake cruising.
SAFE, HIGH-PERFORMANCE HULL DESIGN
The tulip-shaped hull design of both new models in the Antares range deflects waves effectively, but still ensures stability on the water. The Mercury engines can provide up to 175 HP for the Antares 21, 250 HP for the Antares 23 and 2 x 200 HP (twin engines) for the 27. Bow thrusters can be added for easy power steering-like maneuvering. Antares models are a perfect embodiment of range's values in terms of accessibility, innovation and performance, and provide an ideal introduction to short-range cruising.
Access to the spacious and safe wheelhouse is made through a double sliding door. With its ingenious tilting design, the bench located to the left of the helm station provides a seating area which can face the sea or the saloon. With its table lowered, at night this area provides additional extra-spacious double sleeping accommodation.
The Antares 27 goes even further with an innate sense of detail and comfort: an invitation to spend more time at sea. With a sectional sliding door and a panoramic sunroof, the pilothouse is very bright and has a 360° view of the sea. It also has a large salon with facing seats. There is a real feeling of space and the lounge is cleverly arranged with a modular co-pilot seat that swings around to face the sea or interact with people seated at the table. A side starboard door makes moving about and maneuvers easier for the driver.
The helmsman's seat tilts to reveal a cleverly equipped galley area with sink, fridge (optional), stove (optional) and storage being provided in this space. The full glass surrounds the wheelhouse providing panoramic sea views. A sliding roof (optional) panel bathes the interior in natural light, and considerably enhances the impression of space and air.
There is a full double forward en-suite cabin. The beds have been carefully designed and the amount of storage space available is more than sufficient for voyages lasting several days. With its deck port-hole the cabin is well-ventilated and well lit. The separate head with toilet is an unusual feature for craft of this size.
Perfectly fitted out, the Antares 27 is a masterpiece of habitability. With two entirely independent cabins, a galley and a generously fitted washroom. Short cruises with family or friends offer new potential and plenty of room!
